Situated on the picturesque Kent coast of Broadstairs, the 36-hole venue is one of the most highly regarded seaside golf courses in the county. The club has been host to Final Open Qualifying and with breath-taking clifftop views, where you can see the sea from every tee you can understand why. It is very links-like in appearance and feel but unlike seaside links courses that run through dunes, North Foreland is a clifftop, chalk-based course and, as a result, it drains exceptionally well and is playable all year round.
North Foreland Golf Club boasts two exceptional year-round golf courses – the Main Course and the Northcliffe Course. The courses are the work of the renowned architects Herbert Fowler and Tom Simpson with the courses being completed before World War 1 after they were asked to extend the original nine holes.
The delightful Lighthouse Brasserie and Bar offer sumptuous food and drink with stunning views of the sea and coastline.
With the likes of Open Championship hosts, Royal St George’s, Royal Cinque Ports and Prince’s Golf Club within 30 minutes’ drive, North Foreland can provide part of a formidable golf tour, sure to test all handicaps.
